The Upper Fens natural park is the largest nature reserve in Belgium (roughly 4,500 ha.). This natural wonder is located to the north of Malmedy municipality.
The appearance of the Upper Fens changes with each passing season: arid and dry at the end of summer, enchanting under a layer of snow and mysterious in the mists of autumn. It is an area boasting a wealth of unique legends and stories. The Upper Fens need to be visited with a respectful approach to the area.
