Weaving textiles

Don’t miss this unique opportunity and learn how to weave a tissue. You can follow this workshop near the Malmundarium in Malmedy. You understand and experience how the wool of sheep is transformed into a tissue.

This atelier opened its doors in 2016 and it’s a great chance to discover this handcraft that was so popular fro the 15th to the 18th century in the region of Malmedy thanks to the sheep grazing at the High Fens.

Come and have a look and feel what it is about to weave your own bit of tissue.

Demonstration and hands-on

Programm:

The atelier : getting acquaintained with the materials, tools and professions.

Demonstration of carding, spinning and weaving the whool.
Hands-on : everybody has the possibility to card, to spin and to weave.
Duration: approx 2 h.
For whom? as from 12 years or with an entire family (1 adult per child)
Price: 60 € for a group of max 6 persons.
