Winter sports and, above all, cross-country skiing take place every year in the area around Malmedy. The longest-lasting snow is found on the Baraque Michel, Mont Rigi, Botrange, Xhoffraix and Mont Spinette cross-country ski trails.

Cross-country skiing equipment is available for hire from Claessens Sport and Pistes de Ski Xhoffraix. Other winter sports:
